FTP users have access to the root of one of your directories on our servers.
It allows, from your computer, to copy files to our other server computer, or to delete or modify files on this server computer. This copying mechanism is often used to feed a website hosted by a third party.
To access an FTP server, software is used (FTP client). These software exist with command line or with a graphical interface.
